Good day and welcome! My name is D’Arcy Pitman. I graduated, with distinguished merit, as
a Registered Holistic Nutritional IMG_8921Consultant (RHN) from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I have been practising as a nutritional consultant for 8 years.

My interest in nutrition (my lifelong passion) began when I was experiencing health difficulties in my late teens. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 1997 and then re-diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease 11 years later. I was so discouraged with the lack of information on nutrition and digestive disorders from my Gastroenterologists over the years. This motivated me to study nutrition on my own for many years leading up to my formal education. Naturally, a keen interest in digestive health developed and this has been my area of nutritional expertise. I personally have been able to remain in remission after drastic dietary and lifestyle changes.

Also, as a mother of two, I know firsthand the importance of peri-natal nutrition; nutrition during pregnancy, post-partum, breastfeeding (to benefit both mom and baby), as well as infant/child nutrition (including baby’s first foods and baby food prep tips). Pregnancy, childbirth, and feeding your baby his or her first foods are particularly unique yet sometimes stressful times which can be made easier with personalized guidance and support along the way.

My areas of interest are:

  • Digestive disorders, issues, and support
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Pregnancy and postpartum nutrition
  • Baby’s first foods and childhood nutrition
  • Family nutrition
  • Nutrition support for cancer
  • Identifying food allergies/sensitivities
  • Stress and adrenal support
  • Increasing energy and general well-being
  • Aging well and looking good!

Consultation/Appointment options:

  • In person – Chester, Nova Scotia office
  • Via Skype or FaceTime
  • Via Phone

Support is offered by phone or e-mail between appointments.

Keep an eye on my blog for recipes, latest nutrition information and updates, and my adventures in gardening!
